Utah State University STARS! GEAR UP will host five camps on the Logan campus this summer. Registration is now open to students in these participating schools. We recommend applying as soon as possible, since camps are popular and fill quickly.

About Us

The Utah State University STARS! GEAR UP program is part of the School of Teacher Education and Leadership in the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services. Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a federally-funded program designed to help students prepare for and succeed in college. USU created the Science, Technology, Arithmetic, Reading Students (STARS!) partnership program to provide academic support, mentoring, and guidance to help a cohort of students, starting in 7th grade, reach a post-secondary education program that meets their needs.
